Now based in Cebu, Philippines, British artist James Doran-Webb works full time in his workshop. He is surrounded by a small team that helps him sort and clean the driftwood he uses to make splendid horse sculptures.
The pieces of wood, worn by water and waves, are chosen to be arranged harmoniously, which requires a lot of work and meticulousness. Indeed, it takes between 1,000 and 3,000 hours to shape a life-size horse. However, the results are breathtaking, that is for sure!
